How to Trust Your Intuition In Your Business With Bec Cuzzillo.
Dear Creator,
Most business advice tells you to follow the data, the strategy, blueprint, formula, or the person with the biggest following on social media. But what if the most useful skill you could build is actually trusting your intuition in business?
In this episode of Dear Creator, I talk to Bec Cuzzillo, a Spiritual Business Coach for spiritual women ready to build abundant, heart-led, sustainable businesses – businesses that truly set their souls on fire. Her approach combines soulful business strategy with mindset, energetics and fully embodied feminine spirituality to ensure you walk away with the practical and intuitive tools and strategies to build a life and business that you love.
Key Highlights
From Goddess Candles to Business Coaching
Bec’s business began as a side project. While studying interior design, she wanted a creative outlet, so she started making candles and selling them at events. That grew into her candle series and each launch came with a women’s workshop she ran with her mother, who’s a psychic medium. Those workshops changed her direction. Watching women have breakthroughs in the room showed her the work she wanted to do, so she trained as a coach. Her clients then started asking how she had built her online business. She talks about how it’s important to follow what excites you and see what happens. These quests might snowball into a business.
Is Intuition in Business “Woo-Woo”?
I asked her if this is “woo-woo” work haha. She said that it depends on who you ask. When she started ten years ago, nobody really talked about intuition in business. Now, manifestation, energy, and mindset work are much more mainstream or common. Her clients are often creative, intuition people who are excellent at their craft but never planned to handle marketing, accounting, or website building. Her work is to help them run a business that is strategic but still true to who they are. Instead of having to choose one or the other.
How to Build Your Intuition: Practical Exercises
A lot of the times, we override out gut feelings because it doesn’t seem logical. I asked Bec to share some practical exercises to rebuilding that intuitive connection. It’s pretty simple actually.
Ask yourself small questions. "What do I feel like doing today?" or "What do I need for breakfast?" This builds the habit of listening to yourself.
Follow through. Knowing something isn't enough. Trust grows when you act on it.
Notice the tone of the voice. Intuition tends to sound calm or excited. Fear and the inner critic tend to be loud and full of reasons why you can't.
Be wary of anything talking you into or out of something. Bec's rule is to listen to the first voice, whether that's an immediate yes or an immediate no.
The Offer She Pulled After Making Sales
Bec shared a story that shows what intuition looks like in practice. Not long after her first son was born, she put up a simple three-card reading offer. It sold three times within half an hour, but as she hit post she felt a strong, immediate "no" in her body. She honored the orders, told her community what had happened, and didn't offer them again. Even with evidence that people would pay, it wasn't the work she was meant to do. She suggests asking yourself, "Would I still do this if I weren't paid for it?"
Self-Trust Is Built With Reps
Bec describes intuition and self-trust as almost the same thing, because your intuition can't guide you if you don't trust it. That trust builds through experience, and you can start small. Fear of other people's opinions is a big obstacle, especially when you're changing or trying something unfamiliar to the people around you. Bec's view after ten years in business is that nothing is a failure. It's just more information. Business, she says, is the biggest personal development journey you'll go on. And I completely agree!
Building a Business That Works With Motherhood
Bec has three boys and has taken three maternity leaves. On the second, she paused everything. On the third, she brought in a co-coach, took three months off, and her clients were still supported and the business kept earning. She came back to a $30K launch.
She credits a few things:
Strong support: a partner, a virtual assistant, and a content manager
A sustainable business model: a core signature offer and a repeatable sales system, instead of constantly finding new one-to-one clients
Personal habits: she quit coffee after it made her ill, "bricks" her email and social apps overnight, and meditates in the morning instead of scrolling
Her point is that you show up better for your family and your business when you look after yourself first.
